ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A radial tire for trucks and buses which includes a belt layer whose steel cords are disposed at an angle of 15° to 25° relative to the circumferential direction of the tire and a carcass layer whose cord material is selected from materials having a K value equal to 10 to 15 as calculated by the equation K = E/T, where E is the tensile modulus of the cord material in kg/mm2 and T is the breaking strength per unit area of the cord material in kg/mm2.
