Abstract of the Disclosure A sieve of screen of the type supported in an inclined position so that a slurry can cascade downwardly over a working surface of the screen is formed with spaced apart, generally parallel rods or wires which extend transversly to the direc- tion of slurry flow; and is characterized in that the means or hardware which secure the rods in spaced apart and parallel relationship are located at the working surface of the screen, as opposed to the traditonal practice of locating such hardware at the opposite or underlying surface of the screen.
