ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A hose connector of the plug-and-socket type including a clamp comprised of at least two jointed shell members having axially spaced and radially inwardly turned end flanges. One of the flanges engages the plug section of the connector such as to receive inwardly of the respective flange a radial collar provided on the periphery of the plug member. The other of the flanges engages the periphery of a hose end pulled over a nozzle extension of the socket portion, to push the hose into a radial recess in the outside periphery of the nozzle extension. Thus, the clamp simultaneously prevents axial displacement of the connector and secures the hose to said nozzle end section by a radially inwardly directed force.
