SPECIFICATION TO ALL WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: BE IT KNOWN, that I EDGAR J. JUSTUS, a citizen of the United States, residing in the City of Beloit, County of Rock and State of Wisconsin, have invented certain new and useful improvements in "HEADBOX TRAILING ELEMENT MOUNTING AND METHOD" and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear and exact description of the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings and to the numerals of reference marked thereon, which form a part of this specification. ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Thin plastic flexible trailing element sheets which divide the slice chamber of a papermaking machine headbox into substantially uniform turbulence channels between the slice opening and the flow divider plate between the slice chamber and the preslice chamber of the headbox, are anchored to the plate by means of rods having greater coefficient of thermal expansion and maintain the sheets substantially free from wrinkling in the presence of heated paper stock. -i-
