TITLE RANDOM SELECTION DEVICE INVENTOR Richards NEILANDS ABSTRACT A random selection device selects a given number of tokens, in sequence from a preselected quantity of tokens by the simple expedient of a hollow spheroid defining a plenum, and having a retractable or telescopingly hollow cylinder, one end of which is closed, the other end of which is open to communicate constantly with the plenum. The hollow cylinder telescopingly extends through an aperture in the spheroid wall so that its closed end may be retractably positioned into juxtaposition with the surface of the wall whereby the cylinder is deployed in the plenum; or, in its operative mode, in extension, whereby the cylinder is fully withdrawn from the plenum yet in communication therewith. Within the plenum of the spheriod there are the predetermined quantity (a given number) of spheres of equal diameter each of which is embossed or imprinted with its own unique indicia thereon. Preferably the spheres arc imprinted with the denominational indicia; numbers, letters, or combination of both. When the cylinder is withdrawn from the plenum into its remote position, a predetermined number of spheres can be sequentially placed into the hollow cylinder since the internal diameter thereof is sized just slightly larger than the outside diameter of the spheres. The actual number of spheres positionable within the cylinder is directly determined by the length of the cylinder (relative to its internal diameter).
