A B R I D G E M E N T Data processing apparatus includes storage means and writing means for writing information items into locations in the storage means. The writing means includes coding means for coding at least part of each information item in a one-out-of-n code. Each coded part is written into the storage means in an unique digit order different from that for the coded part of other information items. Reading means are provided for reading stored items out of the storage means.
