Abstract A faucet assembly having a rotatable, non-rise stem and which stem can be axially removed from its shank, the assembly having a removable retainer clip which slides into a transverse slot in the shank and forces the stem into proper seating engagement with the stem and locks the stem in place. A faucet handle has a skirt which is slipped over the retainer clip and prevents its removal from the shank. Two such faucet assemblies are mounted on a central shank by a telescoping connection, and interengaging means are provided between the telescoping parts to permit their easy assembly, but once they are assembled they are locked together and prevented from being pulled apart.
