DISPLAY DEVICE ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A display device has a substrate and a flap rotatable about an axis in a plane parallel with the surface of the substrate between a first position in which one surface of the flap is opposed to the surface of the substrate and a second position in which the other surface of the flap is opposed to the surface of the substrate. A magnet is secured to the flap, being arranged to magne- tize one surface of the flap with a S pole and the other surface with a N pole. A driving magnet is located at the rear of the substrate and is movable relatively to the substrate. This driving magnet includes S pole and N pole magnetized regions arranged such that, when the driving magnet arrives at given position with respect to the substrate, a magnetic force acting between the driving magnet and the magnet of the flap causes the flap to be held at either one of its positions. The result is a simple construction and reliable operation.
