Abstract of the Disclosure The present invention relates to novel biologically active tricyclic compounds of the general formula Image I and salts thereof, in which R1 and R2 stand for hydrogen, alkyl or al- kenyl, an optionally substituted aral- kyl group or an acyl group or R1 + R2 together with the nitrogen atom repre- sent a heterocyclic 5- or 6-membered ring, and X and Y stand for hydrogen, hydroxy, halogen, alkyl or alkoxy of 1-6 carbon atoms, nitro, trifluoromethyl or an acyloxy group, which compounds have valuable biological activities, particularly anorectic activity.
