ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention provides grinding apparatus com- prising a rotatable coupling which is slidably attached to a holder for a twist drill, a clutch mechanism comprising a rotatable sleeve located between said holder and a chuck head, and a crank mechanism which engages said sleeve to change its rotation- al movement into movement between said chuck head and a bed, said clutch mechanism being disengageable to allow said twist drill to be rotated alone when setting each cutting edge angle and land relief angle, and wherein to alter the set angle from the cutting edge angle to the land relief angle, the twist drill is rotated, leaving said clutch mechanism engaged, whereby the rotational movement of said sleeve is transferred to said bed by way of said crank mechanism in order to rotate said chuck head through a predetermined angle.
