ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A mask for use by dieters, said mask being molded or formed to cover the mouth and the chin of a user, and having straps projecting therefrom adapted to hold said mask adjacent the chin and mouth of the user, by being secured over the user's head and around the back of his neck. A latch may be used which requires third party assistance for removal thereof and a hole in the mask permits the user to drink liquids through a drinking straw. The drinking straw hole may be too small to permit entry of a cigarette and thus the mask may also be used to assist in control of a smoking habit. The mask may be of transparent material, or flesh-coloured, to minimize its visual effect.
