ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE This invention is directed to a process for the preparation of a 2-carbalkoxyamino-benzimidazole derivative of the formula (1) Image (1) wherein R1 is alkyl having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, R2 and R3 represent, independently from each other, hydrogen, alkoxy having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, halogen, trifluoromethyl, alkyl having 1 to 4 carbon atoms or CN, and X represents the group -O-SO2- or -SO2-O- by reacting a 2,1,4-benzothiadiazine derivative with an acid or triphenylphosphine or with a base. The products are valuable chemotherapeutics and are useful for combatting parasitic diseases in humans and animals.
