ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Production of addition products of alkali metal, ammonium or alkaline earth metal salts with fatty acids or halogenated fatty acids having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms by reacting the fatty acids or halogenated fatty acids with neutral alkali metal, ammonium or alkaline earth metal salts of fatty acids or halogenated fatty acids having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms. The addition products are more particularly made by reacting the starting materials at 20-200°C by introducing them into a fluidized bed reactor. The bed is prepared from resulting product and fluidized by means of an inert gas or liquid. Resulting readily flowable addition product is discharged from the fluidized bed reactor continuously or intermittently at the same rate as it is being formed.
