ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: Damage and inconvenient splashing when an object with at least a coating of a settable or hardenable liquid is dropped or thrown into a liquid setting or hardening agent is reduced or even eliminated by foaming the surface of the liquid setting or hardening agent. Foaming can be achieved in a preferred form of the invention by bubbling air under the surface of the liquid to ensure constant breaking of the surface of the liquid.
