PHO. 79-507 13 ABSTRACTS: In a recording and/or reproducing apparatus for a record carrier in the form of a tape, there is provided a tape-tension control, which comprises a tape-tension sensor, which carrier a metal part in the form of a damp- ing element for a coil which is energized with a signal voltage from an oscillator. Depending on the displacement of the tape-tension sensor, the quality factor of the coil and thus the amplitude of the signal voltage across it is thus varied, which voltage is subsequently applied to the control circuit of the tape-tension control in order to influence the tape tension.
