ABSTRACT Disclosed is a microwave filter comprising two or more rows of mutually coupled resonators operated in the dual-mode. Additional bridge couplings link selected resonant circuits which are not directly consecutive in the transmission direction. The resonators are arranged mechanically symmetrical relative to the center of the circuit but the equivalent circuit diagram on which the filter is based is asymmetrical in respect of the ele- ment values in such a manner that the number of additional couplings agrees with the theoretically determined, minimum number of additional couplings. The filter is useful in satellites because of small size and weight.
