ABSTRACT A pipe connection in which the pipe ends are provided with axially-symmetrical lips or flarings within the area of the joint edges and which includes a clamping collar having a U-shaped profile at the inner surface which is adapted to be tightened radially inwardly; the inner end faces of the clamping collar and/or the end faces of the lips or flarings opposite the joining edges are inclined toward the pipe axis so that the joining edges are pressed against one another in the tightened condition of the clamping collar; at least the radially outermost ring shaped part of the clamping collar is provided with at least one plastically deformable, lug-shaped bulge which is adapted to be tightened by contraction thereof and thereby establishes the pipe connection.
