Abstract of the disclosure A balancing weigt is suspended by lines members below a floating structure. The line members extend from a common point of attachment at the balancing weight, and pass over rotatable leads at the floating structure to bottom anchors. When the floating structure is subjected to a heeling moment from a passing load, the distribution of the strains in the line members is changed by the movable balancing weight, so a relative moment occurs, whereby the floating structure will be depressed in parallel downwards to a new water level.
