Title of the Invention Multi-layer composite paper and method of producing the same Abstract of the Disclosure A method is provided for the production of a multi-layer composite paper, which comprises preparing a substrate layer comprising a cellulosic fiber and a thermoplastic resin, the proportion of which is at least 15 weight percent of the combined dry weight of said fiber and resin and an exterior layer comprised of a cellulosic fiber as formed in superimposition on at least one side of said substrate layer in a web-forming stage and pressing the resultant composite web formation under heating at a temperature not less than the softening point of said thermoplastic resin. The multi-layer composite paper thus produced has excellent printability, writing quality and other properties.
