ABSTRACT The present invention relates to new substituted tetra- hydropyrimidinone derivatives of the general formula Image (I) in which the Ar's may be identical or different and each represents an .alpha.-naphthyl group or a group Image wherein X represents halogen (that is fluorine, chlorine, bromine or iodine), lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, nitro, cyano, lower alkylcarbonyl, lower alkoxycarbonyl, trifluoromethyl or phenoxy, and n represents 0, 1, 2 or 3, the X's being selected independently when n is 2 or 3, to various processes for their preparation and to their use as herbicides.
