ABSTRACT Method of drying photo developing ink printed on sheet material, said method comprising the steps of conveying the sheet material through a developing zone below a line source of ultra-violet light, the line of said source lying at an angle to the direction of conveying movement with a reflector behind the line source so that both direct and reflected ultra-violet rays are directed toward the sheet material, with a transparent heat sink filter for infra-red rays disposed between the sheet material and the ultra- violet light source to filter between 5 and 50% of all of the direct rays from the source.
