ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE In an induction motor where the end turns extend axially outwardly beyond the short circuiting rings of the rotor a non-magnetic blower is used whereby, when operating, the isopotential lines normal to the magnetic field in the regions of the end turns of the machine are more evenly distributed resulting in lower losses and reduced temperature differences in the short circuit rings.
