Abstract of the Disclosure Caprolactones such as .epsilon.-caprolactone are stabilized against discoloration with dihydroxybenzenes such as hydro- quinone or compounds of the formula Image or Image in which R1 is alkyl of 1 to 8 carbon atoms, and R2 is hydrogen or alkyl of 1 to 8 carbon atoms.
