ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A method of assemblying an industrial mine battery contained in a battery tray, including the method of molding a plastic tray cover having a reinforcing grid integrally molded with the cover and the cover having a configuration to facilitate attaching the cover to the battery tray. The use of plastics having the requisite physical, electrical, chemical and flame-resistant characteristics permits a strong, lightweight electrically insulating, flame-resistant cover to be used to cover such batteries and permits weight reduction to the extent that one person may easily remove the cover to inspect and service the battery without risk of injury to such personnel.
