ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An electric vehicle having batteries for supplying power to DC series motors mounted to the wheels of the vehicle. A solid state Jones Chopper is employed for controlling the motors. During operation of the vehicle, when the driver's foot is lifted from the accelerator pedal, the circuit produces dynamic braking of the motors which slows down the vehicle.
