41GC-3154 ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An improved circuit breaker is mounted within an explosion-proof enclosure. The circuit breaker has an insulated case and a manually operable handle extending from one surface of the case. Also provided are means which are operably externally of the enclosure for moving the handle of the circuit breaker between an on and an off position. The circuit breaker further includes exploding gas venting means located on opposite sides of the handle for preventing exploding gases within the explosion-proof enclosure from shattering the case of the circuit breaker.
