ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE In order to disassemble the last row of rotor blades of a steam turbine without removing the rotor shaft from the turbine, a disassembly apparatus comprises a U-shaped swiveling device which can be suspended from a derrick, and a blade-gripping mechanism. The latter includes holding jaws for the retention of the blades.
