MICROWAVE OVEN EXHAUST FLAME ARRESTOR ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An exhaust vent which inherently prevents flames from escaping from the microwave oven. Air exiting from vent apertures in a microwave oven cavity wall is ducted down- ward. Flame from a fire in the cavity is therefore forced to travel in a downward direction. As this direction is opposite to the inherent direction of travel of the flame, the flame quenches itself.
