"AN IMPROVED DISPENSER FOR LIQUIDS" ABSTRACT A simply, robust and reliable dispenser for liquid has a strong closed casing which forms a reservoir for the liquid and encloses a movable diaphragm and an outlet valve whereof the valve member is connected to the diaphragm. Control means for the diaphragm include means for drawing and releasing a vacuum in the casing. When the vacuum is drawn the diaphragm moves to eject opening of the outlet valve, and when the vacuum is released the diaphragm moves under the action of a spring to close the outlet valve. The dispenser can be used to lubricate engine parts, in which event the liquid in the dispenser is lubricating oil. The vacuum may be drawn and released through a flexible suction tube connecting the casing of the dispenser to the induction system of the engine. Manually operable means for drawing and releasing the vacuum are also described.
