ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A cultivator row shield and leveler device attached to a conventional cultivator and including a vertical panel along each side of the cultivator shovel or sweep to prevent soil from being thrown onto the row crop plants. The rear edges of the shield are interconnected by a generally U-shaped or half moon shaped member which levels the soil behind the sweep or shovel. The shield and leveler is mounted on the individual shanks rather than the tool bar by suitable bracket structures arranged to fit different types of cultivators.
