MICROWAVE HEATING APPARATUS Abstract of the Disclosure A microwave heating apparatus has a heating chamber for heating an object therein. A microwave source is positioned above the heating chamber for generating microwave energy which is to be propagated to the heating chamber, and a wave guide extends between the microwave source and a micro- wave inlet in the chamber for conducting the microwave energy into the heating chamber from above the chamber. A radiant energy heater is provided in the heating chamber, the heating chamber being spaced from the wave guide to define a clear- ance therebetween. A thermal insulation is provided in the clearance and a microwave energy seal disposed in the clear- ance between the microwave inlet of the heating chamber and the wave guide.
