ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE There is provided a novel compound, P-glycolo- hydroxamic acid and the esters and salts thereof, which act as inhibitors of yeast aldolase but are not important inhibitors of rabbit muscle aldolase. This differential property permits their use as an antifungal and antibac- terial in mammals.
