A B S T R A C T DEVICE FOR WASHING A POLLUTED GAS AND INSTALLATION EQUIPPED WITH SUCH A DEVICE The device comprises at least one streaming wall def- ining at least one through-orifice, means for causing a washing liquid to stream over the upper side of this stream- ing wall, means for causing the polluted gas to flow from top to bottom, at least one transverse wall situated below the through-orifice, and a streaming channel having a ver- tical (or substantially vertical) axis surrounding the transverse wall. This device further comprises a connecting channel whose upper end finishes at the through-orifice, which has a divergent shape turned downwardly, and whose lower end is connected to the streaming channel.
