IMPROVEMENT IN SHEET FEEDER ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A method and apparatus for feeding flexible material sequentially from a stack. Each sheet is guided downwardly and fanned forwardly and retarded from forward movement except for the lowermost sheet which passes between a platform and friction means. The lower- most sheet is distorted arcuately from its normal plane by interaction between the platform and the friction means, while being supported upwardly beneath the friction means, to effect at least partial separation between that sheet from the next succeeding sheet.
