ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Window structure for a solar collector shield or the like having a frame defining a row of separate window openings. Each window unit comprises a glass pane, retaining means for the pane comprising a window frame extending along the peripheral edge portions of the pane, and a mounting frame secured to the window frame for mounting the window unit in its opening. The mounting frame has a portion extending laterally outwardly beyond the glass pane for mounting purposes. It also has a portion extending laterally inwardly of the edge of the pane. A peripheral seal carried by the inwardly extending portions of the mounting frame has a portion in sealing contact with the glass pane and another portion in sealing contact with the window frame. The mounting frames of adjacent window units overlap to exclude moisture and prevent heat loss.
