ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE There is provided an improved process for preparing acidic dimaleate of a-5-pyridoxyl succinate of dimethylamino- ethyl and similar ryridoxyl derivatives by reacting a-4,3,0- isopropylidene pyridoxyl with succinic anhydride, chlorinating the corresponding acid obtained and reacting the acid chloride derivative obtained with an appropriate dialkylaminoalkyl and forming the pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof. These compounds have interesting psychostimulating properties.
