METHOD OF TREATING WET-WASHED SILICA DUST Abstract of the Disclosure A method of treating the silica dust recovered from waste gasses by wet- washing of the gasses is disclosed. The sludge material is charged to a rotary kiln at a temperature of 800 - 1,400°C. in the presence of an oxidizing or reducing agent whereby the sludge is converted to pellets while phenols and cyanides are simultaneously treated.
