ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A preparation for the regulation of plant growth comprising a preparation which comprises a 1,2,3-thiadiazol-5-yl- urea derivative of the general formula: Image (I), in which R1 represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group containing 1 to 3 carbon atoms, R2 represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms, R3 represent an alkyl group containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms, a cycloalkyl group containing 5 to 8 carbon atoms, an unsubstituted phenyl group, a phenyl group substituted by one or more halogen atoms, a phenyl group substituted by one or more methyl groups, a phenyl group substituted by one or more methoxy groups or a phenyl group substituted by one or more nitro groups and X represent an oxygen or sulphur atom, in admixture or conjunction with an active component, other than a 1,2,3- thiadiarol-5-yl-urea derivative of the general formula I as defined above, selected from plant growth regulators and plant defoliating agents.
