ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Improvement of the polyaryloxy and polyalkylaryloxy- phosphazenes such as those described in United States Patent 3,853,794 is achieved by treating such polyphosphazenes with arylalkyl amines selected amongst the 6- alkyl-substituted 1,2- dihydro - 2,24 - trimethyl - quinolines and the N,N'- disubsti- tuted p-phenylene diamines, preferably in solution. The polyphosphazenes are chemically modified as a result of such treatment and are converted from tough fibrous materials to relatively soft readily processed products.
