Novel hydroximic acid derivatives are disclosed having the general formula: (see fig. I) (I) wherein X is halo, R1 is hydrogen or lower alkyl, R~ is lower alkyl, cycloalkyl, phenyl or hydroxyphenyl, or R1 and R~ together with the adjacent nitrogen atom form a 5 to 8 member ring, R3 is hydrogen, phenyl, naphthyl or pyridyl, R4 and R5 are each hydrogen or phenyl, and m and n are each 0, 1 or 2. Processes for preparing the derivatives (I) are also disclosed, as well as pharmaceutical compositions containing the novel compounds, which are useful in diabetic angiopathy therapy.
