Abstract of the Disclosure The invention relates to new racemic or optically active 1,1- disubstituted octahydro-indolo[2,3-a]quinolizines of formula Image wherein R is an alkyl group havillg 1 to 6 carbon atoms; A is an optionally substituted alkyl having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, aralkyl llaving 7 to 16 carbon atoms or acyl group derived from an aliphatic or aromatic carboxylic acid; B is hydrogen; A and B togethcr form an optionally substituted alkylidene having 2 to 8 carbon atoms or an aralkylidenc group having 7 to 18 carbon atoms and pharmaceutically acceptable acid additional salts thereof. The com- pounds display valuable vasodilating properties.
