ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention provides 1,2,3-thiadiazole- 3-in-5-ylidene urea derivatives of the general formula Image I in which R1 is hydrogen or a C1-C4 alkyl group which may be interrupted at least once by oxygen or sulfur atoms, R2 is a C14 alkyl group which may be interrupted at least once by oxygen or sulfur atoms, a C3-C8 cycloalkyl radical which may be substituted at least once with alkyl, an aromatic hydro- carbon radical which may be substituted at least once with alkyl, halogen, alkylthio, alkoxy, trifluoromethyl, the nitro group or a hydrocarbon radical containing at least one N-atom or R1 and R2 together with the N-atom from the mor- pholino, piperidino or pyrrolidino group, R3 is a C1-Cl0 alkyl radical which may be substituted by halogen, hydroxy, lower alkyl sulfonyloxy, alkanoyloxy, lower alkoxy, phenoxy, mono or dihalo phenoxy, di-lower alkyamino; dihalo lower cycloalkyl or 2-methyl-1,3-dioxolan-2-yl, a C2-C6 alkenyl or C3-C6 alkinyl radical or an aryl-C1-C2-alkyl group which may be substituted by halogen, lower alkyl, nitro, trifluoro- methyl, lower alkoxy, or lower alkylthio and X is an oxygen or sulfur atom as well as their acid addition salts formed with inorganic and organic acids, processes for the manu- facture of these compounds as well as the agents which con- tain them and have a growth-regulating and defoliating effect.
