ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention relates to a process for preparing new compounds of general formula I : Image /wherein R3 represents a hydrogen atom, a hydroxy or trifluoromethyl group, a C1-6 alkyl, alkoxy or alkylthio group, a C3-6 cycloalkyl group (optionally substituted by a C1-6 alkyl group), or a group of formula : -NR1R2 (in which R1 ans and R2 which may be the same or different, each represents a hydrogen atom or a C1-3 alkyl group, or R1 and R2 together with the nitrogen atom to which they are attached represent a saturated heterocyclic group containing 4 to 8 carbon atoms and optionally also containing an oxygen, sulphur or a further nitrogen atom, the said further nitrogen atom, if present, being optionally substitute by a C1-3 alkyl group) ; R5 represents a group of formula : Image (in which R4 represents a hydrogen or halogen atom or a C1-3 alkyl or alkoxy group) ; and R6 represents a hydrogen or halogen atom or a C1-3 alkyl group ; with the proviso that R6 can not represent a halogen atom unless R3 represents a hydrogen atom, a hydroxy group, a C1-6 alkyl or alkoxy group or a C3-6 cycloalkyl group (optionally substituted by a C1-6 alkyl group)/ and acid addition salts thereof. The new compounds have interesting pharmacological properties, particularly in the treatment of anxiety in humans.
