The following [1] to [3], etc. 1,3-Butylene glycol which, upon analysis by gas chromatography under specific conditions, gives a chromatogram in which the sum of the areas of the peaks appearing in a specific range of relative retention time accounts for 0.025% or less of the area of the peak for 1,3- butylene glycol. 1,3-Butylene glycol which, upon analysis by gas chromatography under specific conditions, gives a chromatogram in which the sum of the areas of the peaks attributable to compounds having a hydroxy group and an ether bond and having a molecular weight of 188 accounts for 0.025% or less of the area of the peak for 1,3-butylene glycol. 1,3-Butylene glycol which, upon analysis by gas chromatography under specific conditions, gives a chromatogram in which the sum of the areas of the peaks attributable to 2- butoxy-6-methyl-4-tetrahydropyranols accounts for 0.025% or less of the area of the peak for 1,3-butylene glycol.
L'invention concerne du 1,3-butylène glycol qui, après analyse par chromatographie en phase gazeuse dans des conditions spécifiques, donne un chromatogramme dans lequel la somme des zones des pics apparaissant dans une plage spécifique de temps de rétention relatif représente 0,025 % ou moins de la zone du pic pour le 1,3 butylène glycol. L'invention concerne également du 1,3-butylène glycol qui, après analyse par chromatographie en phase gazeuse dans des conditions spécifiques, donne un chromatogramme dans lequel la somme des zones des pics attribuables à des composés présentant un groupe hydroxy et une liaison éther, et possédant une masse moléculaire de 188, représente 0,025 % ou moins de la zone du pic pour le 1,3 butylène glycol. L'invention concerne en outre du 1,3-butylène glycol qui, après analyse par chromatographie en phase gazeuse dans des conditions spécifiques, donne un chromatogramme dans lequel la somme des zones des pics attribuables à des 2-butoxy-6-méthyl-4-tétrahydropyranols représente 0,025 % ou moins de la zone du pic pour le 1,3 butylène glycol.
