ABSTRACT A 1,4-dihydropyridine derivative represented by the formula Image wherein X is a hydrogen atom or an alkoxy group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, A and B are the same or different and are each an alkylene group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, and a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof are useful as the preventive and therapeutical agents of ischemic heart disease and hypertension.
