Abstract New diaryl compounds of the general formula I, (I) Image and their pharmaceutically acceptable salts are useful as vasodi- lators and coronary therapeutics. In a preferred compound R1, R2, and R3 are methyl, Ar is 3-nitrophenyl, A is -CH2CH2CH2 and R6, R7, R8 and R9 are each hydrogen. Processes for preparing the diaryl compounds of general formula I and pharmaceutical composi- tions containing them are also disclosed.
