Disclosed are 1,4-disubstituted benzo-fused urea compounds of formula (I) (see formula II) wherein ring A is an optionally substituted fused saturated or unsaturated ring containing 3-5 carbon atoms, Ar is an optionally substituted heterocyclic group, L is a linking group and Q is a substituted phenyl, pyridine, pyrimidine, etc. The compounds inhibit production of cytokines involved in inflammatory processes and are thus useful for treating diseases and pathological conditions involving inflammation such as chronic inflammatory disease. Also disclosed are processes for preparing these compounds and compositions, and pharmaceutical compositions comprising these compounds.
L'invention concerne des composés d'urée benzofusionnés à disubstitution en position 1,4 de formule (I), dans laquelle Ar, X, A, L et Q de formule (I) ont la notation telle que définie dans la description. Les composés inhibent la production de cytokines impliquées dans des processus inflammatoires et ils sont par conséquent utiles pour traiter des maladies et des états pathologiques faisant apparaître une inflammation telle que des maladies inflammatoires chroniques. L'invention concerne également des procédés de préparation de ces composés et compositions ainsi que des compositions pharmaceutiques contenant ces composés.
