A B S T R A C T The 1-(4-Hydroxy-3,5-di-tert.-butylbenzoyl)-homopiperazine and various derivatives thereof substituted on the nitrogen of the formula I Image in which R1 represents a hydrogen atom or a straight-chain or branched (C1-C6)-alkyloxy-carbonyl radical, or the benzyloxycarbonyl radical, which can be substituted in the phenyl nucleus, and their physiologically tolerated acid addition salts are prepared starting from 4-hydroxy-3,5-di-tert.-butylbenzoic acid or its derivatives and homopiperazine or appropriate derivatives thereof. The compounds and their physiologically tolerated acid addition salts are suitable for the treatment of inflammatory and painful, in particular inflammatory rheumatic, disorders.
