ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention provides a process for the preparation of a compound of the formula (I) Image and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof wherein X represents hydrogen, 4-halogen, 3,4-dichloro, 4-nitro, 4-methoxy, 4-methyl, or 3 trifluoromethyl which comprises cyclizing a compound of the formula Image where X is as defined above; and where required converting the so produced compound to a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. The compounds of formula (I) as defined above are useful as muscle relaxants.
