ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE This invention relates to compounds of the formula I Image (I) (wherein R1 represents a straight-chained or branched C4 to C20 alkyl group and the acylamino group is in the 4- or 6-position is the phenoxy group; R3 repre- sents a hydrogen atom or a C1 to C3 alkyl group, and R4 represents a C1 to C3 alkyl group; or R3 and R4 together represent a divalent group -(CH2)p [in which p is an integer of from 4 to 6]) and acid addition salts thereof. The invention further relates to processes for their preparation. The compounds of the inven- tion possess .beta.-adrenolytic and blood-pressure reducing properties and the inven- tion also relates to pharmaceutical compositions of these compounds.
